Community Read - Small Town, Big Oil: Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the most epic battle in the Seacoast when a small group of passionate people defeated a proposed oil refinery in Great Bay that would have irrevocable changed our region! Monday April 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29, 10:00am – 10:45am – Gentle Yoga in Partnership with the Lee Recreation Department: Basic yoga poses done at a less intense and slower pace with an emphasis on stretching. The class will incorporate the use of a chair for those needing some assistance with balance movement and with difficulty getting to the floor for mat work. Modifications will be demonstrated to help and welcome people of ALL fitness levels enjoy the benefits of class. The cost is $5 per class or unlimited Monthly Senior Pass for $25. Wednesday April 3, 7:00pm – 8:00pm – Gluskabe - The Magical, Powerful Culture Hero Central to Wabanaki Storytelling, in partnership with The Lee Historical Society and NH Humanities: In this traditional Wabanaki storytelling presentation, Anne Jennison will introduce Gluskabe, who is at the center of an entire body of lesson stories that are central to the Wabanaki cultures of New Hampshire and the Northeast. Tuesday April 9, 6:00pm – 7:00pm – Financial Planning Basics: How smart are your goals? Are you on the right path? This workshop covers it all! Setting goals, budgeting, having an emergency fund, insurance, using credit, investing, tax planning, saving for college, retirement planning and even estate planning!

Wednesday April 10, 11:00am – 12:00pm – Alzheimer’s Support Group: Join us with Aramis Black of ‘Haven at Lee’ to access Alzheimer’s support, information and resources for those living with or caring for someone with Alzheimer’s. This support group will run on the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 11am – 12pm until June!

Wednesday April 17, 7:00pm – 8:30pm – Lee Backyard Farming Initiative, Water: Join us for the last program in this series of Backyard Farming Fun! This month we will meet Jim Griswold, Bill McDowell & Randy Stevens. We will be talking about “Surface and Ground Water” to include such topics as water supply and understanding sustainability! Program to be held in the library program space. Refreshments provided by the Lee Agricultural Commission, the Friends of the Lee Public Library and the Lee Public Library!

Monday April 22, 6:00pm – 8:00pm – Crafty Creations, Virtual or In-Person Crafting for Adults: Join us as we create wonderful decorations for your home or garden. Pick up your supply program kit from the library and tune in to zoom or come in to the library and create in person. This month we’ll be making Mosaic Coasters! Call to sign-up.

Tuesday April 23, 6:00pm – 7:00pm – LTC Access Grant Community Conversation: Join us as we talk about our approved $10,000 accessibilities grant. We are hoping to have valuable input from all library patrons but especially those who are wheelchair users or those who use walking aids. We want to hear from you!

Tuesday April 30, 6:00pm – 9:00pm – BINGO Night Fundraiser: Join us for a fun filled BINGO night with the Friends of the Library! Cash prizes to be won, over 18’s only as per the rules of the NH Lottery Commission, reserving of seats is not allowed. Games begins at 6pm and will run until 8pm. Cards will be available for sale 30 minutes before game time. $10.00 for a package of 5 games per card. Prizes to be determined at 30% of the take.
