Summer Reading Program (SRP) Sign Up beginning June 15!
It’s time to sign up for our 2026 SRP, ‘Unearth A Story’. All ages can participate, and we hope you do! Our Summer Reading Program runs from June 22 – July 31. That’s six weeks of awesome fun! To inspire you to read, we’ll have programs, prizes and more! So come and sign up beginning June 15! |

Wednesday June 24 - July 29, 11:30am – 12:30pm – Sandwich and Story Outside the Library: Bring your lunch along and sit with us for stories, songs and games with Miss Judy.

Tuesday June 30 - July 28, 1:00pm – 3:00pm – Stay & Create: Join us every Tuesday for creative exploration with Miss Judy. Enjoy making a variety of crafts here at the library, or take a kit home!

Thursday July 30, 10:30am – 11:30am – Foam Invasion Party: We’ll be enjoying a Foam-tastic time with Durham and Madbury Public Libraries! Come in your bathing suit, bring your towel and join us! This is safe and fun for children ages 3+. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library. At LRP!

Thursday July 30, 3:00pm – 4:00pm – Ice Cream Party: Let’s celebrate the end of the Summer Reading Program with some ice-cream, fun and games! Come eat ice cream, and then play Corn Hole, Four in a Row, Tumble Tower, or Ring Toss. No sign-up necessary. All ages welcome.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten
This library program encourages Lee families to read 1000 books with their young children before they enter kindergarten. It’s easy... just1000booksbeforekindergarten.org/ register and keep track of how many books you’ve read on a reading log. We’ll help you celebrate the first 100 books milestone with the gift of a canvas book bag. And at each 100 books mark, you’ll get a 100 books sticker. Reach 1000 and you’ll receive a copy of Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready for Kindergarten! Registration and participation is ongoing. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Lee Public Library. |
