Tuesday July 22 & 29, 1:00pm – 3:00pm – Stay & Create with Miss Judy: Join us every Tuesday for Kites, Tumbled Glass Art, Sculptures, Paper Mache and Tin Can Garden Art! Pick up the grab and go kit after 3pm!

​Wednesday July 23 & 30, 11:30am – 1:00pm – Sandwich and Story at Little River Park: Bring your lunch along to Little River Park and sit with us for stories, songs and games with Miss Judy.

Thursday July 24, 10:30am – 11:30am – Art/Painting: Join as we partner with Madbury and Durham Public libraries for some creative art/painting! Wear something that you don’t mind getting messy! At Durham Public Library.

​Thursday July 31, 10:30am – 11:30am Songs, Stories, Cartoons & Comedy with Keith Munslow: Join us as we partner with Madbury and Durham Public libraries for this Summer Reading Program event. It promises to be a fun-filled time for all families! At Durham Public Library.

​Friday August 1, 2:00pm – 3:30pm – Ice Cream Party: Let’s celebrate the end of the Summer Reading Program with some ice cream, fun and games! Come eat ice cream, and then play Corn Hole, Four in a Row, Tumble Tower, or Ring Toss (we’ll either be outside or in the old town hall depending on the weather!). No sign-up necessary. All ages welcome.

​Friday August 29, 10:30am – 4:30pm - Be kind and make a card for someone special to you: We’ll have supplies out all day, so come on over, get creative and make a card for someone special in your life! All ages welcome.

​1000 Books Before Kindergarten
This library program encourages Lee families to read 1000 books with their young children before they enter kindergarten. It’s easy... just1000booksbeforekindergarten.org/ register and keep track of how many books you’ve read on a reading log. We’ll help you celebrate the first 100 books milestone with the gift of a canvas book bag. And at each 100 books mark, you’ll get a 100 books sticker. Reach 1000 and you’ll receive a copy of Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready for Kindergarten! Registration and participation is ongoing. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Lee Public Library.
