Ways You Can Support the Lee Public Library
Let’s make 2023 the Year of the Library! 130 years ago, the Lee Public Library was formed. Now is our time to look ahead to the next 130 years! Public libraries serve as the heart of communities. They have evolved to become even more vital in our fast-paced world, offering a variety of services and programs for all ages.
In 2023, the trustees will at long last begin the renovations that will save and improve our beloved historic Lee Public Library. In addition to reconfiguring the space for greater flexibility and improving the lighting, we have discovered other things that need to be done to make the building sustainable and safe – lead paint and asbestos abatement, insulating the walls and basement, re-wiring the electrical and installing updated and efficient heating and cooling systems. When you support the Lee Public Library, you are supporting the community of Lee. We all benefit from the activities for all ages – from lap-sit story time to after-school programs and connecting with neighbors during adult crafts, programming on a variety of topics as well as book clubs for adults and teens.

Here's how you can help the Lee Public Library!
- Join the 130 Club and celebrate the Lee Library’s 130 years of serving our community! Send your check for $130 to the Lee Public Library Community Center Foundation, 9 Mast Road Lee NH 03861.
- Write a check to the Lee Public Library Community Center Foundation, a 501c3 organization that was formed to raise money for the library, or if you prefer using a credit card, the Foundation has a Paypal account for online donations.
- Donate your spare change! The Foundation has placed a donation box at the library – all donations up to $1000 are currently being matched! It’s a great way to make a small donation work harder!
- Buy a reusable straw for $5! Say no to plastic and help the library at the same time. And you’ll feel safer using your own straw. Each straw comes with its own case, so you can always have it with you. The straws are available for purchase at the library, and, of course, all proceeds benefit the Lee Library!
- Shop Amazon Smile. If you shop on Amazon, you can help the Lee Public Library Community Center Foundation as you shop on Amazon. All you need to do is go to Amazon through smile.amazon.com and select the Lee Public Library Community Center Foundation as your charity. This is a year-round program so every time you shop by entering Amazon through smile.amazon.com Amazon credits a small percentage of your total to our account and they send us a check every quarter.
