Lee PUBLIC Library Community Center Foundation
The Lee Public Library was organized in 1892 on the second floor of the old Town Hall building. In 1962, the Center School on Lee Hook Road was moved to the town center so it could serve as the town library. As the town grew and the need for library services increased, additions were added in 1974, 1984 and 1996 to accommodate the need for a larger library. In the 26 years since the last addition, the town and the demand for library services has grown -- it's time to renovate the Lee Library so it may continue to meet the needs of the Lee community. The plans include renovating the original schoolhouse portion of the library into a welcoming, spacious children's area -- returning the building to its original purpose, educating and entertaining the children of Lee.
Our mission is to generate funds for capital improvements to the Lee Public Library.
Our vision is for a stronger, more connected community that will enhance the quality of life for residents of Lee, NH.
